This is an example of a case where we were commissioned to manufacture an equivalent part following the breakage of a cast part used at the end of the shaft of a large motor. The customer provided us with the broken part, and we quickly manufactured it through reverse engineering.
First, we received the actual item and made detailed sketches and drawings. Because it was a large cast part, we collected as much information as possible about the material, casting method, etc., in addition to the dimensional accuracy. Based on this information, we created a 3D model and thoroughly confirmed the shape and specifications with the customer.
Although the parts processing itself was possible with our own equipment and technology, we aimed to respond quickly in order to minimize the downtime of our customer. By carrying out all processes from design to production and quality inspection in-house, we were able to shorten the lead time and achieve a speedy response in just three weeks from order to delivery.
As a result, our customer has given us high praise for our short delivery times and high quality finishes.
