We received a request to create a new sprue component for a mold that had been in use for many years.
These are old mold parts from several decades ago, and there is no information about the mold maker or drawings from that time.
We reverse-engineered the part by following these steps: taking dimensions from the actual part, creating a drawing, and then machining it.
Since these are injection-molded parts, we will utilize our expertise in mold design to determine the material, hardness, and surface treatment.
We were able to restore a part with performance comparable to the existing part.
